Second CPAC Meeting of 2017 Conducted

In the third week of December, Good Neighbors International Nepal conducted its second Central Project Advisory Committee (CPAC) meeting of 2017.

GNI Nepal’s Country Director, Head of Divisions, managers, and 14 prominent officials from Social Welfare Council, National Planning Commission, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened in the Social Welfare Council’s meeting hall in Kathmandu for reviewing activity progress and providing feedback for making programmatic improvements.

Target versus achievement of the Fiscal Year 2017; information about implementing partners; suggestions, feedback of last CPAC meeting and DPAC meetings and their implementation; coordination, monitoring, evaluation practices; and GNI Nepal’s financial status in 2017; and issues/challenges were shared and discussed in detail.

The feedback from the government officials ranged from orienting GNI Nepal’s child protection program towards emerging child protection issues, ‘concentrating’ program activities rather than ‘spreading’ so that results become more pronounced, and assessing ‘changes’ produced by GNI Nepal’s interventions.
