Background:
Good Neighbors International (GNI) is an international development and humanitarian organization that responds to the call of the neglected, vulnerable, and marginalized beyond the barriers of race, nationality, religion, ideology, and geography. GNI empowers people in 46 countries across the world through social development activities and places particular emphasis on economic development in order to break the vicious cycle of poverty that people in developing countries suffer from. Established in 1991 in Seoul, South Korea, GNI has fundraising offices in Chile, Mexico, USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and an International Cooperation Office in Geneva, Switzerland.
In Nepal, GNI has been working since 2002 for improving the lives of poor people, especially children through child protection, education, income generation, health services, water, sanitation and hygiene, disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation, and advocacy programs. Currently, GNI Nepal serves marginalized, vulnerable, and poor children, families, and communities in 22 districts across Nepal.
The Intern-IT shall perform a variety of moderately complex information technology support duties to ensure smooth operation of organization by providing quality technology services.
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support IT officer to achieve the project and organization goals via quality IT services.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines.
- Ensure configuration of laptops, peripherals and accounts assigning with high level of security.
- Ensure all internet and intranet policies are into effect and as per the need of the organization.
- Organize and maintain IT resources
- Design and install well-functioning computer networks, DVR & Camera, connections and cabling.
- Testing and configuring software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.
- Provide technical direction to co-workers on computer and network usage and offer comprehensive advice and instructions.
- Carry out regular preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and system support.
- To perform duties like installation, rectification and others as and when required.
Job Specifications:

- Bachelors in IT/ B.E. in Electronics/ Computer or equivalent
- Fresher or experience of related internship completed
- Knowledge on Hardware and Networking.
- Basic knowledge on Office 365, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer peripherals, PBX and Telephone system, Data Storage Systems
- Good knowledge of reporting and documentation
- Proficiency in English language
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
