On August 21–22, the Country Director, Department Head – Partnership, and Department Head – Operations of Good Neighbors International Nepal visited drought-affected areas of Madhesh Province, which was declared a drought emergency on June 26, 2025.

Good Neighbors International Nepal is actively responding by supporting communities with drinking water supply and irrigation initiatives to ease the hardship caused by the crisis.

During the visit, the team monitored the situation on the ground, engaged with local communities, schools, and governments to better understand their challenges and priorities. These valuable insights will guide future interventions, ensuring stronger collaboration and greater resilience for the affected population.
