The installation of Improved Cook Stoves (ICS) is ongoing under the project “A Safety Net of Innovative Land Tenure Solutions for Near-Landless Sharecroppers and for a Greener Rural Nepal.”
This initiative, implemented in collaboration with the Alternative Energy Promotion Center (AEPC) aims to provide clean and alternative energy solutions to 2,205 landless and vulnerable families. By promoting clean cooking solutions, the project also contributes to reducing deforestation, lowering household-level emissions and improving women’s health , building a greener and healthier rural Nepal.
Funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA of the Republic of Korea, the project has been implemented since mid-2024 by Good Neighbors International, in partnership with UN-Habitat Nepal and the Community Self-Reliance Centre (CSRC). It is carried out in close collaboration with the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (MOLMCPA) across four municipalities of Deukhuri Valley in Dang district.
