• Improvement of living standard of residents in the project regions, Nawalparasi

Inclusive Rural Development Project (IRDN) was implemented in Nawalpur District of Gandaki Province and Parasi District of Province no 5.  The project area included 13 wards from four Rural Municipalities (Susta, Pratapur, Sarawal and Palhinandan) and two Municipalities (Sunawal and Madhyaindu). All four rural municipalities including Sunwal Municipality lie in Province No. 5 and Madhyabindu Rural Municipality lies in Gandaki Province.

The objective of the project is to increase household income through promotion of commercial agriculture and livestock, economic infrastructure development as well as youth and women employment.

The project closely coordinated and collaborated with municipalities and other stakeholders regularly right from the inception. Self-help groups and municipalities were directly engaged in planning, implementation, monitoring, and progress tracking. It also encouraged community members to leverage resources for amplifying the impact of the implemented interventions.
