To foster green growth through the engagement of CSOs and the private sector in solid waste management in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal

Greening solid waste value chain in Kathmandu Valley project was carried out in Godawari Municipality in partnership with Lele Development Center(LCDC) and NEPSEMYAK Sewa Pvt.Ltd. The project through its awareness raising and training sessions enhanced soild waste management practices in targeted municipaliites.It  strengthened CSO's and private sector's capacity throughenabling policy environment for solid waste management (SWM) at local level. 

The major activity of the project included training sessions for segregators, interaction and awareness sessions on 5Rs ( Reuse, Refuse, Reduce, Repurpose and Recycle) for students, local representatives. In collaboration with the Godawari Municipality waste management policy was developed and waste-related enterprise establishment was also initiated.
