Improved maternal and neonatal mortality in Mugu district
Objectives
- To improve MNCH behavior among community members
- To improve access to maternal and child health services
- To improve the quality of maternal and child health services
Subsequent management of Improving Maternal and Child Health Care in Mugu was carried out in partnership with KIRDARC to ensure access to quality maternal and child health services and improve MNCH behavior.
During the project, birthing centers were constructed, medical equipment was provided, and assistance was offered in utilizing HMIS to ensure access to health services. The health workers were capacitated to improve delivery of services in the Mugu hospital.

FCHV were mobilized to aware community about MNCH. Different forms of awareness campaigns such as deuda competition, were organized in the communities to sensitive the communities about maternal and child health care.
