Goal

To enhance Nepal’s capacity to detect, respond and prevent outbreaks of cholera.

Objectives

To strengthen the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) response in Kathmandu District (Province 3) and Kailali District (Province 7).

 Enhancing Cholera Control in Nepal project was implemented in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Kailali districts in parntership with our local partners ENPHO an FAYA Nepal.

Different activites were organized to prevent and limit cholera outbreaks through strengthened rapid response capacity. The intervention focused on enhancing healthcare infrastructure, health workers’ capacity, testing water contamination levels, and awareness-raising activities.

Seti PH lab renovation and WASH activities were conducted in Kailali. WASH activities were conducted in Kathmandu valley with an special focus on Kathmandu metropolitan ward 11,12 and 13.
