Cooperatives play an instrumental role in generating income opportunities for the rural areas of Nepal. For decades, GNI Nepal has supported these cooperatives in their sustainable operation by providing them with assistance in areas of construction, capacity enhancement, and institutional strengthening. In such pursuit, Deuthan Agriculture Cooperatives of Ward No. 1, Geruwa Rural Municipality, Bardiya and Asal Mahila Agriculture Cooperatives of Ward No. 4, Bardagoriya Rural Municipality, Kailali have been provided with newly constructed cooperative buildings for proper seed storage. The cooperative building has been handed over to the respective Now, not only the farmers have received a platform for selling and purchasing the seed at a very fair price,but the cooperatives have also found buildings for their business sustainability.
