Ward No.4 of Madhuban Municipality has been declared as child marriage-free. This is the first ward to achieve such a remarkable feat, taking a step to ensure a brighter future for children.

This milestone was celebrated by organizing a formal event graced by Janmajay Timalsina, Lumbini Province’s Minister of Social Development. The event also had the participation of barghar, police, teachers, mother group      members, students, journalists, cooperatives, community members, the mayor, the deputy mayor, representatives from district administrative offices, wards, and rural municipalities. All the community members geared up for the celebration and actively participated in the rally and cultural performance.

This achievement marks collaborative efforts of local government, Good Neighbors International Nepal and other organizations to safeguard children’s rights and create a better space for their growth and development.
