Kharpunath Rural Municipality, Humla has been officially declared the first child labor and child marriage-free zone. The declaration was made in a special program chaired by the municipality chairperson, Mr Karn Bahadur Rawal.

This joyous moment was celebrated with great enthusiasm and motivation. The community came together in joy, performing the traditional deuda dance, and cheered this significant step toward a better future. With this announcement, we believe the children in Kharpunath will grow in an environment where they feel protected and are given every opportunity.
