To increase accessibility of physically disabled children to formal education

1.    Increase CwDs’ access to aids and disabled-friendly learning environment at schools 
2.    Enhance capacity of institutions and individuals to promote disabled-friendly environment

Access to Learning for Disabled children project was implemented in Mithila Bihari Municipality and Mukhiyapatti Musaharniya Rural Municipality of Dhanusa District and Bhangaha Municipality of Mahottari District in partnership with Aasman Nepala and Dalit Society Welfare Committee Nepal(DSWC). 

The project focused on helping the children with disabilities (CwDs) with an opportunity to learn by supporting them with assistive devices and ensuring disabled-friendly learning environment in their schools.  Psycho-social counseling were provided to the parents and community people to change stereotypes associated with diabilites and provide these children with safe spaces free from any discrimnation.
